And I'm serious about this...just read the below quote from his bio...the dude can make 40, 41, and 52 yd fgs

At Garden City CC
First team All-Jayhawk Conference in 2008 ... named 2007 All-Jayhawk Conference as a receiver, returner and punter ... 2007 Jayhawk Conference special teams player of the year ... had 40 catches for 580 yards (14.5 avg.) and five touchdowns ... also rushed the ball 12 times for 55 yards, threw an 18-yard touchdown pass, converted 11-of-13 extra point attempts, made 8-of-9 field goal opportunities (three longest were 40, 41, and 52) and punted for a 47 yard average ... 46 passes for 633 yards and three touchdowns in 2007 ... clocked at 4.48 in the 40 ... only played one year of varsity football in high school.

So tell me why the hell not give him a shot?? It's not like he can do any worse...and he has the potential there of hitting a consistent amount of fg's including longer kicks too.

I can live with 11-for-13. Even if his range is only inside 45.

11-for-11 inside 40.

Well I'll agree with you if our best options are Jimmy or Tress...at this point Jimmy should be the starter between those two guys. I'm just not satisfied that these are our 2 best options. I mean why the hell can't we have a kicker who can hit kicks consistently from all ranges? It just blows my mind.

That's why I'm saying if Kenney is a threat at hitting them consistently and hitting longer range kicks too...let's give him a chance in a game situation.
Although Jimmy has seemed better this year, he's struggled w/consistency since he got on campus. And I'm taking into account the extra points wavering in all directions as well, with misses and near misses.

He's too busy with the WR corps during practice learning how to run lazy routes and drop passes.

Sh*t I didn't even think about that...could be a distraction from perfecting excellence at the WR position :D

I think we should give Easley a shot...he's a freshman from Norman North...he's got a helluva leg.

He's probably a redshirt though right? To me it's not worth yanking a redshirt off him...you know what I mean, I mean it's not like he'll salvage our season single handedly. So I say use the resources we have (at this point Stevens or Kenney)...so give Kenney a shot.

BTW, can Moreland kick fgs? Anyone know?
