My father has had a lakehouse at Texoma since 1977. Several of the streets have been named for the old timers who helped build and organize the community. After 6 months of work with the county and city I was able to get the street he is on changed to his name. I hope he likes it.:)

Way cool.... great job.... dad is going to be like.... I have to order all new adress label for my letters now.... :)
in my dad's hometown in ne oklahoma the main street changes from a highway to our last name once you are inside the city limits. Think it was named after my great-grandfather as my grandfather passed in 1930 at the age of 28.... could be him though....

I don't know the age of said Dad, but address labels are mailed to seniors on a VERY regular basis by various entities looking for a donation.

He doesn't use the mail there but it will be cool to see the signs with his name on it.

That's a cool gift. I'm sure your father will appreciate it.
The Enos area was always my favorite part of Lake Texoma. I probably wouldn't recognize it now since I haven't been there in 25 years or so. My uncle's family had owned a lot of land there and they lost a large part of their farm when Lake Texoma was made.
