Really, that dirty play is disgraceful for all sports. If it were guys doing it, there wouldn't be any (laaaa-aaame) sex jokes, and everybody would be indignant that the thuggery was let go unpunished. It's not just dirty, it's DANGEROUS. You can end somneone's career with that crap. And, of course, it shows no respect for the game or your opponents or even yourself. That girl is effed up.

Lambert's "apology" is 100% pure BS, as well. You don't play like that just once, in the heat of "emotion." Gimme a break! Anyone who plays that dirty is a dirty player ALL the time. Bank on it. Why do you think the camera was on her so much? Because she has a reputation. Somebody knew she was a dirty player, and they wanted to catch her on camera. And they did. Over and over. (I think maybe the BYUs didn't retaliate because they knew that her stuff was on camera.) The refs were incompetent to let that **** go on and on. Her coach is as guilty as she is - nobody can be blind to that kind of dirty play. Bank on this, too: If she's a dirty b*tch on the field; she's doesn't change character just because she crosses a white line and walks off. "Indefinite" suspension should be for at least the rest of the season, which is closing down anyway. Hell. kick her off the team before she permanently injures someone. She should not be allowed to play a game she does not respect.

At least they have someone at ESPN who understands soccer.
She was a great role model for many of the young female soccer players while on the US team. And she has started a sports-leadership academy for young girls in sports.
She is one of the few ESPN analysts you can believe in and knows what she is talking about.
