A mallet, or hire Ryan Mallet to throw footballs at them.

Put the stuff down that kills the grubworms. That will remove the critter's food source and he'll move on to greener pastures.

Or, if you're feeling all Carl Spackler, you could toss some dry ice down a fresh burrow.

I thought he used C4. I think C4 will solve the problem...first time, every time.

Trap.

I just took one out of my trap about 10 minutes ago. You can get the traps at Atwoods. Do not get the plunger kind. Get the kind that is spring-loaded and has two wide prongs (maybe 2 inches wide or a little more). Set the trap and place it in a good, clean hole. You have to make sure the hole is clean because gophers do not like light or a draft. That is why they come up and try to cover the hole and the trigger the trap, it grabs them and they are dead or dying. Hate them. Anchor the trap in the handle hole with a screwdriver. It works. I have caught hundreds of them over the past 20years. Moles take a different type of trap, but I have caught dozens of those too. Good luck!

- 12 Ancho or Poblano chili chilies
- 8 mulato chilies
- 5 pasilla chilies
- 3 chipotles
- 3 tbsp. chili seeds
- 250 g (9 oz.) butter or fat
- 200 g (7 oz.) sesame seeds
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz.) almonds
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz.) peanuts
- 50 g (2 oz.) pumpkin seeds
- 1 piece of bitter Chocolate
- 6 allspice berries
- 6 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- A pinch of ground anise
- 12 physalis (tomatillos)
- 4 tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 3 tortillas
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 stale bread roll
- 2 liters (8 cups) chicken stock
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- Oil
Method

1. Clean, trim and cook the turkey in boiling water; once it is cooked, cut into pieces and fry in a little oil or butter;
2. purée the tomatoes and chipotle peppers; cook gently in a large saucepan;
3. add the chicken stock and continue cooking for a few minutes; set aside;
4. toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet;
5. fry the crumbled bread in a little oil and set aside; fry the tortillas and set aside;
6. fry together the chilies, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, almonds, anise, cloves, allspice and cinnamon; when the ingredients are thoroughly heated; grind them together with a little bit of water;
7. roast the tomatillos, garlic and onion; blend into the previous mixture and grind again;
8. place the mixture on the heat; mix in 1 liter (4 cups) of stock; let the sauce thicken gradually over low heat, stirring continually so that it does not stick;
9. pour the mole sauce into the pot containing the turkey; add the tomato purée and combine;
10. grate the chocolate and blend into the sauce; reheat just to the boiling point to obtain a nice thick sauce;
11. remove from the heat; add the spoonful of vinegar and the melted lard;
12. sprinkle everything with toasted sesame seeds.

Drive stainless steel spikes at 2 inch intervals all over your lawn. Interconnect with wire connected to 220 V outlet in home fuse box. Water lawn heavily and plug in. When the fire department cleans up, you can sell the lot to some poor unsuspecting idiot and use the proceeds for closing costs on your next fiasco.

You're DOOMED!

I have often reflected on the fact that it is a shame Mr. Avagadro came up with that number 200 years ago, because, you know, that's a number I would have thought of.

Probably.
