If you are coming up to the game next week, and have questions about logistics, speed traps, places to eat, etc. This is the thread for it. I'm happy to help in anyway I can.

At the game, I believe 3.00. A Runza value meal will run 6 to 7. If you get a value meal, I recommend the french onion dip for the fries.

Besides the game, the Runza is the other thing I'm looking forward too.

Man I wish this was an every other year thing.

Last time I was there...there was a sausage stand right outside the gate....I bought one...walked in and was eating it and a Husker Fan asked which stand I bought it at. I pointed to the one outside and he looked like he was gonna report me to the sausage police. :D

Anyway...it was really good. It helped take the edge off those 4 bloody marys I had prior to the 11am kickoff that day. We were quite buzzed at kickoff. My Wife was as happy as the day she got married. She was funny. :D

Good Times.

If you've never been to Lincoln...you should IMO. Good food...good fans...good bloody marys. :D

Lincoln is a great town.

Royal, make sure to send em to that bar where the lady sits in with the band and cusses like a sailor. Veritas knows the one I'm talking about. :D

The Sidetrack. That's a joint I try to avoid, but it is a beloved local tradition.

Probably less than face value, unless your fellow OU fans really bid them up.

Heh. That lady was awesome. Wish we could make the trip, but the 8 month old requires our attention, apparently... :D

What would be a good place to watch earlier games before we kickoff? Is there a place that Sooners like to go?

Given that Memorial Stadium is handily located downtown, there is a wide variety of bars that are filled with TV's. If you don't need food, my recommendation is WC's North at 12 and P or so.

Is the Kansas State Trooper still hiding off the highway just south of the border? And if so, is he still an a$$hole?

They're okay as far as yankees go.

I kept getting a children of the corn vibe. I remember driving mile after mile with nothing in sight but corn fields, and the only thing playing on the radio was the Beach Boys. Seriously, every station every song was the Beach Boys.

Going to Mistys Friday night and just hang out Saturday. Staying at The Embassy Suites. Just a heads up in Nebraska the pizza is Valentino's and the hot dogs are Fairbury's. Runzas are also marketed as a colon cleanser.

More than likely. Also, watch for County Mounties sitting north of Beatrice in low spots off of US 77.

As far as I am concerned Fairbury Brand hotdogs are the only worthwhile hotdogs (even if they are made by Wimmer's now) Of course, I'm from the Fairbury area, and my Great Uncle was their meat inspector for 30 years, so I'm mildly biased on that.

Yeah, I met that guy once. Republic County, Kansas, to be exact.

I got pulled over on I-70 headed into Manhattan for the KSU game last year by a KHP who thought my paper tag was expired. Apparently, in Kansas they write the expiration date on those things instead of the date you bought the vehicle, like they do down here.

Hey royalfan, is there a place that Nebraska nOObs "have" to try once? I always like trying unique places, foods, experiences when making trips like this. When I went to College Station, their version of campus corner was very Aggyish, but they had some great tailgaters who were more than happy to have us chill with them and hook us up with great food.

The casinos are pretty are pretty standard, the strip clubs are interesting and you can bring your own beer.

Eat a runza, and Fairbury hotdog. You can skip Val's pizza. Misty's is the signature steak place. Lazlo's brews good beer and make good food. If you are drunk on O Street and hungry get a Z plate from Ali Baba's. Exotic food and Nebraska are two words that don't associate.
