Is sam in jeopardy of becoming a liberal?

OU NOTEBOOK
Obama sends condolences to Bradford
President Barack Obama named University of Oklahoma president David Boren co-chairman of his Intelligence Advisory Board on Wednesday and sent his condolences to OU’s injured Heisman winner, Sam Bradford, in his speech.

"I thank David for agreeing to serve in this capacity, even as he continues to lead the University of Oklahoma,” Obama said. "And we are sorry about (Sam) Bradford’s shoulder.”

Bradford underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair the sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. He won’t be able to play again this season, and announced on Sunday that he plans to enter the NFL Draft.

I can't stand liberals or conservatives on a national level. All national politicians are serving their own interest and if you don't belive that, most of the logic has been washed from your brain. With that said, I'm sure it was cool for Sam to get the nice words from that high office.

Sorry... The waiting list for this type of surgery is 16 months Mr Bradford. Would you care for a sucker while you wait?

Have you read the new Grisham Novel "The Associate"? It's sure to repair your view about how level the playing fields are in business and I'm sure will inspire you to run get a Law Degree and even become a Politician some day. I tear jerking read really. Full of Americana. :D

gaylordfan1,

That is an interesting statement obviously coming from someone who has experienced what it is like to receive medical treatment from countries like England, Germany, The Netherlands or Norway.

You may want to query where the US stands when it comes to health care compared to other "lesser" countries. You would be appalled. That being said
Sam's surgery went off great and that's all that matters...

If you're in the Military...you salute a lot. If you weren't in the Military and suddenly you were POTUS...I think it might seem odd to have folks you highly respect Saluting you when you never served. Matter of fact...I would find it very hard myself. I would hope that is all it is and that he work on bringing his salutes up to snuff. Being POTUS though might not give a person as much time to worry about things like that even though they are very important. I hope he addresses this though.

Do you have any idea how wrong both of these posts are? In Socialized medicine there are STILL private health care providers and private hospitals (just like our public schooling still allows for private schools).

Also, the wait on that surgery in other socialized countries would have been non-existent.

Yeah, I thought to myself "If Michael Ballack messed up hic ACL or MCL, how long would it take him to get surgery over in horrible socialist Germany..." and the answer I came up with "He probably would have been out of the OR before the internet even knew he was IN the OR."

Co-Chair of an Intelligence Advisory Board?

I don't know, but it sounds like a perfect job for a former chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

That's really not what I don't like about it, I quite enjoy the diversity and all that. My problem with it is that there is no sense of God there.

This post is very ignorant and uninformed. Anyone who has every stepped foot in Santa Fe or ever studied the area at all would understand that its culture is extremely diverse. The people are a very liberal group and very proud of it, it's just commonplace in the area.

People travel all around the world (and many wind up living there) to come to purchase from the many street vendors who set up shop daily selling many different turquoise necklaces, earrings, and other knick-knacks. The arts and festival held in Santa Fe and the surrounding Native American reserves are absolutely breathtaking.

There's a reason it's called "The City Different".

The post wasn't a slam, just felt like you were dogging a very unique city that is considered by some the most diverse city in the world. No it's no LA, SF, of NYC, but what it lacks in numbers it makes up in it's diversity, and yes it pride in being a very liberal city (and area). You should go to Los Alamos and see how liberal the folks are.

"Considered by some" is the key phrase. Dude, I've been there. I've spent an extended period of time there working on a project. It's a nice city, but it isn't even remotely close to being as diverse as the cities I mentioned.

Not even a little bit. Not even remotely. Not even in dreamland.
