Out of the many mistakes ESPN has made, I think the biggest one might be hiring Trent Dilfer. Can't stand the guy.

There are a lot of dooshbags on the air, especially at ESPN. Trent Dilfer is certainly NOT one of them.

His teammates, and opponents, would attest to that.

As a player and a person perhaps. As a sportscaster, he was a HOF QB.

Dilfer never set the world on fire as a QB, but there's a lot of value in a steady game manager. Tell me with a straight face that the Raiders couldn't use a Dilfer clone right now.

All the same, he's underselling Bradford.

My original post was not meant to imply that either Sam Bradford or I would ever disparage Trent Dilfer as a QB, a TV commentator, or a human being :D (even though he's just below Jim McMahon in the quality rankings of Super Bowl winning QBs).

Hahaha, no worries, I wasn't trying to rag on you or anyone else for it. I have no strong feelings about Dilfer one way or the other.

Dilfer is a winner. Can't deny it.
