Granger should sue the univ of Washington athletic department for lost NFL wages based on the cheap shot he took from 3 of their players. Name the players and the coach as well.

Doubt it. The process for getting a 6th year isn't easy unless you have straight A's and a squeaky-clean reputation, and/or a lawyer who bends over backwards for you and wins. Ben Mauk at Cincinnati got the same treatment DG got. It's a difficult process from what Dvoracek said on the SA a few weeks ago. Speaking in front of a committee, meeting prerequisites academically, having references in high places, etc.

That's not good for him. He should be healthy so I wonder if he gets any PT.

On the positive side of the Stoops presser, Landry is really becoming a leader with Sammie out. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/OU/article.aspx?subjectid=92&articleid=20091027_92_0_NORMAN482907)

Let me guess... Tim Tebow, after NOT getting drafted will apply for a 5th year due to missing his BYE week with a concussion and be granted not only a fifth, but a sixth year as well.

Anybody know if he is still injured, or if he is healthy enough to rotate in and get some PT?

Actually the precedent is pretty clear. You need to miss a significant portion of TWO seasons to be eligible for a 6th year hardship.

Mauk lost his appeal because they tried to make up some phony, undocumented, injury that supposedly forced him to red-shirt his freshman year at Wake.

In the article badger linked, Stoops said he still isn't able to react quick enough with one of his legs to play.

What exactly got Jason White a 6th year?

Medical redshirt in 1999, due to back injury.

Lost second half of 2001 season, ACL.

Lost nearly all of 2002 season, opposite ACL.

Oh wow....never knew he actually got a medical redshirt in 1999. I just thought he was a redshirt period.

Yeah, I think he took snaps in the Indiana State or Baylor game (maybe both). He was 3rd string behind Heupel and Fletcher. Hybl was in his transfer year.

you know whats interesting about Jason White?

Heupel, Hybl, and White... all the same recruiting class right?

On the other hand, RR should be a shoo-in for his 6th year bid. He had two separate injuries over a few years.

Right

And he doesn't have anything shady like the Coat Incident for the NCAA to worry about.

With RR, and if T. Lewis stays, we will have the best LB corps in America next year.

RR, T. Lewis, R. Lewis, Box, Wort ought to be a darn good rotation, and some vicious hitters.

Lewis needs to say; he isn't nowhere big enough to play LB in the NFL, and he needs to learn how to shed blocks

No such thing.

I think T Lewis will go this year. He'll probably get a 2nd round grade and end up going in the 4th or 5th. I hope he sticks around myself.
