Yes, I know he'll be making (hopefully) a gazillion dollars in the not-distant future. But this isn't about that.

Everything I hear about Sam is that he's a really bright kid who makes great grades. Where is he on his degree? I hope he graduates, or comes back to graduate. Anybody know where he stands on his education?

He's the class of 2010 so, since football players take summer classes, maybe he is on track to graduate this winter. If not, spring.

I think he will be done in the spring

He said he'll be a couple hours short in December, will finish up with some online courses in the Spring. Last I checked, he had a 3.97 (that's 1 B, ever) in Finance.

(that's 1 B, ever)

Vince Young had one B, iirc, in "Invented Languages: Klingon and Beyond."

Some people think he should have gone pro last year, but just coming back to get his degree alone makes it worth while. He will be glad later he did that. Anyone who has tried to go back to college knows what I am talking about, its much easier to do when your young and have no real responsibilities.

It won't matter whether he makes 20 million or 2 million dollars. He's set.

I'm also in the price college of business and finance is REALLY hard here.

Finance isn't really that hard at OU. It all depends on your profs, though.

Gee, I am just like Sam. The only B I got in college was in algebra (undergrad) and then stats in grad school. Math sucks.

So Sam is going to make millions, and he will know how to manage his money wisely.

I was originally a finance major and changed to accounting my senior year, so I took a lot of finance classes.

One of the best classes I ever took was Financial Planning. A guy named Steve Scott taught it. He was an attorney turned financial planner and was actually a sports agent for a couple of former OU players.

Funny guy. I will never forget one test that had an essay question where instead of using generic names like John and Sally, he used Beavis and Butthead (this was back in 1994). Priceless. And the class was one of the most useful I ever took. I highly recommend it for all you young whippersnappers about to graduate and start making $$.

So you got c's and D's in all of your other classes?:D

Finance? That's the one class he's definitely going to need!

He's a Finance major, don't know what class he got the B in. I have a BBA from OU and finance was the only class that I was really scared of flunking, just did not get it...somehow pulled an A, still think they messed my grade up with someone else's, but I ain't complaining.
