Approximately 40% of mom's polled (nationally) say they wouldn't have their children vaccinated against H1N1, even when the vaccine becomes widely available.

Just seems to me the pathos would be unbearable if your unvaccinated child developed H1N1 and succumbed if you had an opportunity to have him or her vaccinated and skipped it.

We've already lost a child to H1N1 in Ardmore.

What say you?

Or if you found out that your child
was the vector for transmitting
the virus to an at risk person who
had a bad outcome.

People there's more than self-serving
reasons to get your children vaccinated.

BTW, while I am on this soapbox.....
Please, don't send your sick child to
school, daycare or the church nursery.
Have some consideration for other people's
kids.

Then, why do we even have doctors? Let's go back to the days of shaman and medicine men.

Unfortunately, I've been exposed already before I was able to get vaccine. A guy in one of my classes just had to be hospitalized with H1N1. :(

one of my driver came down with it, he tried to come back to work after 3 days. I told him DOT regs said after 3 days you need a note from the doctor. DAy 4 he called and said he had the doctors note. i said are you taking any medication? he said yes, I had him read the warning for the medication. He said may cause drowsiness and dont drive heave equipment. I told him not to come back until monday.

I did not need to take any chances that the whole place come down with it.

Do pediatricians have enough of the vaccine for everyone who wants/needs it? All I see on the news are free public vaccination events some place and 20,000 people show up for 2,000 units.

What percentage of parents don't get the normal flu shot for their kids?

We haven't and so far all of us are alive.
