Refs help them in two close games two weeks in a row?! I call foul play.

Yeah, it's crossed over from "chit happens" to pretty ridiculous. It's time somebody called Shenanigans on the SEC refs.

In other news I was blown away that they didn't overturn that. Everyone watching saw that the ball was out.

There's a fine line between whining and standing up for your team in these situations, but I think Mullen and Petrino are doing the right thing. I don't believe there's any broader conspiracy to tilt these games, but the pattern of egregious calls helping out the stronger BCS teams (LSU against Georgia, Florida over Arkansas, Florida over Miss St) has the potential to seriously undermine the legitimacy of competition this year.

the sec just needs to suspend itself...

The Gators have scored just seven touchdowns in 25 trips inside an opponents 20 during SEC play and they're clearly becoming frustrated. Tim Tebow turned down postgame interview requests for the first time in his career after having two interceptions returned for touchdowns.

heh

The offense that dominated college football in 2008 has bogged down.

Oklahoma played Miss. St. yesterday? I thought we were stealing the Gheyhawk's signals or somesuch?

hahahahahahaha college refs getting calls right, even with replay..... now thats funny........

college football officiating and refs are just one step away from being like NBA refs.....

again its like watching bron bron in the NBA

if he goes up for a layup and makes it , its cool

if he misses, its an automatic foul

I was screamin at the TV on this one.......Officials taking care of their money makers.....reminded me of the Big 12 Championship at SA.....first half Mizzou could do no wrong....think the refs got a phone call from the higher ups about being so obvious and call it fair...all of a sudden...OU is kickin ***, takin names and the MO *******s are RUNNING for the exits. No kidding....third quarter it was a sea of gold...fourth quarter, no one was on the other side of the Dome.

The ball was out. Wasn't even close the one replay showed that he was in the field of play when his hand was behind him and that hand was empty. They only showed that replay once but both of the announcers said that it was out. Having said that, unfortunatly probably still Florida wins.

Funny thing Kev you would expect another heartwarming speech at the press conference from Tebow for the media to eat up

None of this should come as any surprise. This is the same conference that had an official shoulder-tackle Stephen Garcia last year as he was trying to run outside down around the goal line.

It's funny that Slive has had to scold three coaches in less than a week's time. You think even the coaches are becoming jaded by the corruptness of these leagues?

It got to tell an osu fan in my office that Mississippi got "ducked".

Isn't it sad that I got to take pleasure in that?

Just like the Pac 10 and the Big XII. They are paid off.

Yup. They're employees of their respective conferences

The Kiffiekin call would not have mattered. It is something that the SEC should have verbally reprimanded after the game, but Bammer clearly found the muffed kick during that play, so after a 15 yard penalty, Bammer would have the ball, game over. He can complain about refs, but he should have been complaining about his kick coverage.

The Miss State call would probably not have mattered, but it didn't come at the end of the game. For those of you that missed it, a Florida defensive dude showboated into the endzone and lost the ball near the goal line, possibly before he went in. Replays showed that he probably wasn't in... but it might have just been the angle of the camera, I dunno. MSU lost by 10, so one touchdown did not decide the game.

The SEC needs to get this taken care of. The Pac 10 refs really diminished the perceived quality of their conference a few years back. Can the SEC really risk their powerhouse perception over a few refs calls?

Screw 'em all...including the Big 12 refs. The utter incompetence they show on a regular basis in the replay booth is unacceptable.

I don't think you can say Florida would have won anyway. Momentum is a huge thing. If MSU gets the ball back on the 20 with a fresh set of downs and can move it down the field and score, thats a 14 point swing, not 7.
