They were running their offense late in the game like there was 11:00 left in the 3rd Qtr. Crompton's not great, but I mean a sense of urgency and maybe we're not talking about putting it on a kicking team that already got owned earlier in the day.

why didn't they try to gain more yardage after they got down there? a 44 yarder in college is no gimme

Egg Zachary. Alabama coughed up the game for them to pick it up and win it... and Kiffin's crew settled for a Pontiac Game-Winning FG instead of utilizing an oppurtunity.

Dear Lane Kiffin,

2nd Down and 9, on the 27 with 40+ seconds left! Dont let the clock run down to settle for the FG! Moran

It was ridiculous. They needed another 10 yards. Horrible management.

Remember they were out of timeouts. They probably didn't want to risk a sack. If crompton gets sacked, end of game. Or worse yet he throws a pick.

So you are going to be concerned about a sack or a pick, when the kicker had already missed two kicks from the same distance, on the day?

Let's make it 0-for-3!

Wilson's/Stoops' head would have been wanted on a platter for that one.

Yeah, but Crompton hadn't been exactly lighting it up either.

These.

Word is that the kicker might have injured his quad in pregame but didn't tell anyone. His leg wasn't strong enough so he had to kick the ball at a low trajectory to get the distance which explains the two blocks and the missed one.
