What about Da U in 07, signature win for Sam?

There is a mistake. In 2005 we beat Oregon, it wasn't a loss. The 2006 game was a loss tho..well...kinda...

Yea, we definitely beat them in '05

Miami finished 5-7 in '07. Missouri would qualify as more of a signature home win that year (#11 @ time of the game, finished #4).

Sad seeing those away losses spelled out like that.

Sooners over Jayhawks by 10.

I agree. I think Bobby has lost the "fire". All that money he's been paid, he doesn't need a job anymore.

I'm pretty confident that Stoops still has the desire.

Though I think some fresh ideas or a fresh face on the staff (not aimed at anyone in particular), could provide a spark.

I think too many generations of coaching "inbreeding" can be a bad thing.

In defense to Venables, the defense this year is no worse than the 2000 team if you look at the stats:

2000:
avg points allowed: 15,
avg points allowed against ranked teams on the road: 17

2009
avg points allowed: 10 (so far)
avg points allowed against ranked teams on the road: 17 (so far)

not even 10 points allowed ...technically its 9.8

So we've proved that Venables can do a good job, and that Wilson can do a good job (see last year). Now if we can just get them to both do a good job in the same year we'll have our #8.

If we had last year's offense and this year's defense. We would be unstoppable!!!
