was there last year for the CU/KU game good place. Hit Free State Brewery, its a brew pub. You can buy their brews to go in 1/2 gallon brown jugs that they seal with wax. Try the Hefeweizen if its on tap. Also a pretty decent tailgate scene in the parking lot surrounding the stadium. Fans were very friendly and inviniting to food and beverage.....

dang it beat me to the punch...


also there a pretty decent bar-b-que place on highway 10 out of town back to KC on the southside. Place sits on the northside of the road and I was surprised at the quality and quanity of the food.

For breakfast, hit WheatFields Bakery. It's just off of Mass St. on Vermont. Try the biscuit and gravy, french toast, or the frittata sandwich. Anything's good there, though.

Free State Brewery is the standard for lunch and drinking and will be crowded, but it's great. Buffalo Bob's is alright for BBQ.

After the game, ice cream at Sylas and Maddy's is where it's at if there are ladies in your group.

All of these are on Mass St. or between there and the stadium. From Free State it's probably 10-12 blocks to walk, and that's the farthest away.

i think Lawrence is pretty cool. they had a good music scene inna day. it's in the top half of Big XII college towns IMO. Austin, Norman, Boulder, Larry.
