And all at the bargain price of $1.7 billion (so far).

Why, that's only $400,000 per job created or saved!!!! Thanks Obama!!!
:pop:

The early stages of the federal stimulus program created or saved at least 4,370 jobs in Oklahoma, according to a Tulsa World analysis of preliminary reports filed by the Office of State Finance.

The office stressed that the figures are preliminary and certain to change.

The numbers were compiled from reports by state agencies and do not include money spent by federal agencies such as the Department of Defense or funds disbursed to tribal governments. It also does not include some large distributions to the state, including some unemployment benefits and more than $300 million for Medicaid.

The finance office lists 319 awards totaling $1.7 billion through early October. More than $3 billion worth of stimulus spending in Oklahoma has been approved.

Most of the jobs created or saved were in common education, the World's analysis shows. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?subjectid=11&articleid=20091020_11_A1_Bridge429711

Can't wait to see how much each of these teaching jobs costs once all the money is spent.

Hopefully Kathy Taylor will run for Governor and really fix things up good.
