How Oklahoma intends to play beg its way into the BCS
By John Canzano, The Oregonian
October 17, 2009, 10:15PM
Oklahoma is 3-3 after its Saturday loss to Texas, and presumably headed south in the rankings. Yet... Received an email from Kenny Mossman, the senior associate athletics director at Oklahoma at 2:04 p.m. pacific today. It must be urgent, so I opened it.

Here's what it said:

Oklahoma’s three losses …

· By a total of five points.

· All on neutral or road fields.

· All versus ranked opponents.

Didn't Ohio State's craptacular bunch go into the Fiesta Bowl with 4 losses last year?

It's almost like Kenny Mossman works for OU or something. What a dick.

Well, it worked for Mack Brown last year and in 2004, and ESPN loves Mack and UT...so why not?

if only the AP poll counted in the BCS, this guy might have a point. :pop:

I would say we should worry about beating the rest of our opponents first.

Canzano is a d(*&, and I'm still not sure that all those supposed G.Reese threats were real anyway, and not a bunch of fabricated local press BS to try and deflect some of the bad press away from that ridiculous cheating fiasco.
However, imo this was not a wise move by Mossman to send this type of e-mail out at this particular time. I've seen enough press stories in the last couple of days about our 3 losses to ranked teams by 5 points that any half-way decent AP voter short of living in a coma would be aware of the situation without needing a reminder. A loss is a loss & we just need to take care of business on the field from here on out.

Agreed! I've always wondered if all those threats really happened too!
