Might be methane and/or hydrogen sulfide gas bonding or becoming oxidized more quickly to the increased number of vaporized water molecules releasing the sulphur atoms more quickly with a ready heat source to catalyze the reaction?

The farts bounce off the walls and you get the full fart where as in a normal situation much of the fart dissipates into the atmosphere (and offends a few birds flying by in the process). There is my scientific explanation. Good topic by the way, worthy of a PhD thesis (Fraggle, ;)).

Watch smoke in high humidity. It hangs, failing to rise in the atmosphere. Enter your shower. High humidity, heated gases will fail to rise in the atmosphere, in addition to the small space often found in the shower and you have multiple concerns. The fart will not rise to the ceiling, remaining in the atmosphere surrounding the point of release. The volume will fill the space of its container as it the wont of gases, the small area of your shower. Add your already primed olfactory sense in anticipation of enjoying the fart and you have disaster.

Now stop crapping all over yourself in the shower.
