Folks if you live in Edmond there is a fire. They are empty apartments. No one lives there....

Must we have all 3 channels covering it for over an hour??

If there was a tornado bearing down on said vacant flaming apartments, the local stations would pre-empt programming for the next 24 hours to chase it down.

Gawd, this is worse than listening to them ramble on during Election Day. How much is there to say... "****'s burning, no one lives there."

I used to think the hype up there was awful when it came to wildfires or tornadoes but since moving I have learned that every station hypes that bs. They literally have an orgasm here when a tropical wave leaves Africa. I hate them all.

Think what they would do if they could see the butterfly flapping his wings

The last time I saw one of those, it also said "Resist Blandification"

And it was on the back of a Ford Taurus- the blandest car known to man. ;)

Do you think that is what Edmond is ??? I just know the home values in Edmond are by far the highest on the OKC area...

Right, the upscale suburban homes with a upscale strip mall on every corner. Any one part of Edmond is pretty much completely indistinguishable from any other part of Edmond to me.

Meh. Boring. Edmond can keep it.

I'll keep campus corner, the nice semi-urban feel of old mainstreet, in essence some town culture with some meat on its bones.

Norman will never become Edmond and vice versa, despite the Edmond-like development in north Norman, because Norman will always revolve around OU and the diversity it offers. Edmond has UCO, but it is basically a bedroom community...not really any reason to go there other than to visit someone at their house or play golf at their fine courses. This is fine (as Rus said) as Edmond has good property values and good schools.

Norman is much more diverse politically, socially, etc. than Edmond that there is little chance of it becoming too homogenous, especially with the rapid turnover of residents from OU. Plus, I love that so many people come to my town for entertainment, education, culture, etc......it also made the trip home from U2 alot shorter.
