So we all know Red Dawn is being remade and we're all expecting the worst. Well I went looking and found some information about the script.
Who will the invaders be? China and Russia will help later on. In the beginning of the script the following has happened in the world.
- U.S. forces are being taken from Iraq and re-deployed to Taiwan as China forces build up in the area of the Taiwan Straight.
- Russia is angry over Georgia joining NATO and states that America's fear of influence will not be allowed to expand.
- The American President says the U.S. is only partly to blame for a new wave of financial crises which is wrecking havoc on world markets.
- Russia will start selling its oil to the countries that it chooses.
- The first U.S. ships arrive at the Taiwan Straight which causes massive protest in China.
The cast?
Jed is now a former Marine back from Iraq and Matt his high school star quarterback brother; Erica is now an Asian-American cheerleader; and Danny is the African-American star running back.
Also the little freedom fighters will do some reconnaissance with....video iPhones.
