Ponyboy's line vs. Oklahoma:

His team won so he gets that.

The stats:

21-40 for 127 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

I would have to say 'not hardly'. OU threw the game away (literally) more so than Dolt won it.

The ND kid will be after they beat usc tonight.

I don't see how he could be. It's not like he did anything spectacular. He was outplayed by Landry. His guys just held on to the football more

It's already been given to Teblow

No one seems to be stepping up and earning it so far. Bradford is out again. Tebow's numbers aren't that great. ND lost again, so their QB is probably out of the conversation. SI had Shipley on their list but he didn't do squat today. USC's QB is a freshman. That RB at Cal was getting some pub, then fell off the face of the earth.

Obama has been watching football at least once this season. I heard he is a lock.

Tebow will win the Heisman Period! Colt will be playing some lousy defenses so his numbers will be better. If I had to choose a QB for a college team I would much rather have Tebow. Colt looked extremely average last week against CU and today on the big stage he was very average.

He looked mostly average against lousy defenses all year. He won't win this year. Too bad nobody else is really stepping up, I think a lot of people are wanting to hop off the Teblow second Heisman bandwagon. Nobody else has really been awesome and Tebow is the media's comfort blanket.

Colt's a great player and a good kid, but not yet Heisman worthy. Especially, since he would have to overcome the media love for Tebow. Colt is the first Texas QB I actually like.

I actually respected Major Applewhite for the way he handled the Chris Simms idiocy.

If he gets hurt we should all jump to our feet and cheer as those scum feeders did today. My family and I were at the game and my 6 year old son asked why they would cheer when he is hurt..... Rather than say they all need to wash their mouth out with buckshot I told him that they couldn't see him on the ground.

That has to be the most classless thing I have ever witnessed. If you are a tx fan reading this and you cheered I hope you die in your sleep. Oh yeah.....you're entire state and university still sucks.

Colt should pretty much be out of the running for the Heisman after today. He hasnt done much this year and then in a big game he got shut down. I think Tebow will end up getting it even though he really hasn't had a Heisman type year. Ingram from Alabama is honestly playing like the best player in the NCAA this year maybe if Alabama beats Florida and Ingram has a big day that might push him past Tebow. A dark horse in the running should be Keenum from Houston. He is having a GREAT year and nobody outside of the middle of the country seems to care. I heard Danielson today in the Florida broadcast say Keenum shouldn't even be mentioned for the Heisman and I just don't know why.

Colt's best effort today was tackling Brian Jackson. He's lucky he didn't have 3 more INT's.

Yup it has, sadly. The Heisman has lost all credibility.

Well I know why he would say that but at least hope other people in the country can at least pay attention and acknowledge the quality football that Keenum is playing.

Other than his colors, I don't have anything bad to say about this kid. He seems like the real deal. Also, he doesn't feel the need to cheerlead his players on the sideline. Not a flashy guy... he doesn't mouth off... i find him far less offensive than many of their (and OUr) players.

That said, I think we helped to cost him the trophy.

Oh, and Major is a pretty stand-up guy.

Yeah Colt is a quality QB and seems like a stand-up guy. A lot of people give him hard time including me but its just because of that freakin burnt orange color he wears. He's pretty much the first whorn quarterback I wouldn't mind having be qb for us.

To be honest, Colt does not deserve the Heisman at the rate he's playing.

Then again, nobody else really deserves it either.

I'll agree with that, and it isn't because he's a horn.

I'm not sure i've seen many stand-out players this year. He's solid, but but I'd likely go with some of the DBs i've seen this year over the normal quarterbacks.

False... that running back from Pitt already almost has 1000 yards rushing too bad he's a freshman and the commitee won't blink an eye. The Heisman is terrible.

Dion Lewis

162 Attempts
915 Yards
5.6 Yards per carry
9 Touchdowns

but honestly like someone said Ingram should be 1 on the Heisman list. Don't try to play that angle "if Colt doesn't deserve it nobody does role."

Ingram's a badass and he's been getting better as the year goes on. 'Bama's offense was going nowhere tonight until he put them on his back. He single-handedly tore a solid South Carolina defense a new one.

McCoy is totally average this season. He shouldn't be in the top 20 Heisman candidates.

I'll give you five:

1. Todd Reesing, QB, Kansas -- Despite KU's loss to Colorado, Reesing threw for 401 yards and two touchdowns.

2. Case Keenum, QB, Houston -- Keenum eclispsed 2,000 yards for the season in just the sixth game, throwing for 334 yards and two touchdowns as Houston downed Tulane 44-16 on the road.

3. Jacory Harris, QB, Miami -- Harris went 20-for-26 for 293 yards and one touchdown in the Miami's 27-7 win over Central Florida.

4. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame -- Clausen and the Irish lost to USC but he played solid, going 24-of-43 passing for 260 yards and two touchdowns.

5. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida -- Tebow bounced back from a poor performance at LSU to go 17-of-26 for 255 yards and a touchdown to lead Florida to a come-from-behind victory over upset-minded Arkansas.

Mark Ingram (242+ yards in last night's game)
Dion Lewis (Pitt)

Both of these players are invaluable to their team, like Colt was last year. Colt just doesn't have the numbers this year.... not enough TDs and way too many interceptions.
