well, as much as i hate to say it...that might be the game folks. momentum has definately changed, and with us not being able to move the ball or score, i think that might be it. the defense has shown massive amounts of heart, but it is only a matter of time before they get tired. they have been on the field a long time. this year was just ****ed from the beginning...injuries, injuries injuries.

i haven't lost all hope, magic can happen, here's hoping we see some.

The defense played about as good of a first half as you can expect (holding UT under 100 offensive yards in the first half is pretty darn good), though they haven't yet been able to adapt to UT's halftime adjustments. Sure, it hasn't been perfect on the D side of the ball, but our pain has come as a result of abysmal offensive production. It was okay the 1st quarter, except for the fact that we only came up with 6 points total after being inside the UT 25 ydline three times.

FWIW, what's our record when OU gets down? I have a very, very bad feeling whenever OU trails a team. We've shot ourselves in our feet today as a result of a billion turnovers...

The sad thing is that when it comes down to a FG-dominated game, the field position battle is usually the deciding factor. Our inability to move the ball consistently is resulting in UT winning the field position battle. While OU has to move the ball 30-50 yards to get into FG territory, UT only needs to move it ~20 yards to get into FG territory. When the defenses are stopping the offenses, this field position battle is going to kill us.
