After a week in Atlanta then a week in Salt Lake City, I come down with some kind of funky bug...my ears are inflamed, throat sore, bluh bluh bluh, all the stuff that goes along with it..

I got home last night late and headed to the doc first thing this morning...He gives me some different meds including the tussin with codein in it and an antibiotic....

I took the meds when I got home, and then 20 minutes later all hell broke loose...Mosquito type bumps started coming up all over my body and I turned a bright red...my throat starts closing, and my lips swelled up to mick jagger size....bp up to 140/110

After a few hours in the ER, everything started going back to normal, but now I have no meds for da sickness....

now my ears hurt like crazy, my head hurts, but i cant sleep...

I blame it all on Kevin Wilson

You were probably allergic to that antibiotic...


That happens to me when I take penicillin and/or its derivatives.

wow STEP, that sucks. I came back from a business trip to Florida once with the flu, it took 4 months for my ears to get back to normal. I wish you a much speedier recovery then that!

I had an allergic reaction to coedine,woke up scratching like crazy,felt like I had fallen into an anthill.Moral of the story-no more coedine.

The doc today said there was no way to say which one did it, but that was how I felt...I even had the little ant lookin bites with it....

Im gonna just stick to percoset for my illnesses:D
