Sp apparently the second best team in the Big 12 will not play in the Fiesta Bowl?That ssems odd.Well there is a lot of season left.

If we beat * tomorrow, then we will be the projected team in the Fiesta, and * would likely go to a BCS Bowl. They wouldn't go to the Rose, because, no matter what, the Big 10/11 and the PAC-10 want the tradition. The SEC runner up, in the most likely scenario, would head to the Sugar. I doubt that they would send them to the Fiesta against us, but since the BCS is all about the money, and rematches with rivals in bowls have happened before (see the 1978 MNC thread), it's not entirely out of the question. The most likely would be to send * to the Sugar, since the media is dead set on seeing * play an SEC team. It would be funny if 'Bama beat FLA, and the media would get their FLA v. * match up, but it wouldn't be in Pasadena!

I can't remember the last time the Big 12 had only one team in the BCS bowls.

2008 - OU and Texas
2007 - OU and Kansas
2006 - OU and...

Ok, nevermind, it was the 06-07 season.
