HTC Hero or Samsung Moment?

HELP!

I want to renew my Spring phone to an android phone. For the ones that know that I'm talking about, what do you suggest, the HTC Hero or the Samsung Moment?

With HTCs, you have to worry about poor battery life.

I've got the HTC G1 and I swear that I have to charge it sometimes twice a day.

Samsung phones are sturdy and have good battery life. I'd go with the Samsung over the HTC.

I have a techno-geek friend that has been singing the praises of HTC for over a year now...."wait until Android comes out!!!".

He lives in Taipei and has had several HTC phones.

He also thinks the iPhone has revolutionized the industry and this is one time the consumer is really going to benefit.

Second hand but relevant, I hope.

I have an HTC touch and love it. No battery life issues for me - well except when the battery failed and I had to buy a new one. That was after about a year of solid use, though.

The only problem with the Touch is that if you don't re-boot it pretty regularly the OS will hang. I use it as my alarm clock, and anymore if I don't reboot the phone before I go to sleep the clock will freeze and the alarm won't go off until I wake up and check the phone. I think that's a Windows Mobile problem, though.

I just got the Moment last week and I <3 it. Does everything I want it to do, stuff I didn't even know I wanted it to do, and stuff I haven't even yet figured out how to make it do.
