Blitz, Zelda OOT, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark.....aaahh great times.

FYI, Rare is working on a Xbox Live Arcade release of Perfect Dark. Imagine how great it will be to play it with updated controls. And Perfect Dark was better than Goldeneye, it didn't take anything away, and only added to the greatness that was Goldeneye.

I think I spent one summer of my youth just playing goldeneye with my friends from like 10:00 am to midnight every day.

Dittos here. That was my first type of computer many moons ago though I don't think you could surf the internet with them (or view 'pron' with them).

WCW/NWO Revenge, Mario Kart, NBA Live 99 and 00, some racing game where you could race on an open course and do awesome flips on ramps and try to get Mountain Dew and Pepsi cans for bonus points, Goldeneye (got my azz smoked everytime by little sister on Multiplayer mode).

Oh the good ole days!!!

That Wario Stadium shortcut cuts off like 75% of the track. Worth the risk to attempt it, especially if you have a shroom

Herzog Zwei on Genesis = greatness

One of the greatest video games ever. In my mind, the best-ever mix of strategy and action. And one of the best midi soundtracks I've ever heard.

We had 3+ hour marathons on that thing.... I miss that game

yup - classic case of gameplay\balance > graphics

Still hunting for a PC emulator for that thing... edit - surprisingly not hard to find

Am I the only one who put it on "invisible mode" on Goldeneye and then went around shooting everybody in the nuts?

Robert Reich's cold honesty
Jack Kemp
Robert Reich advocated in detail the cutting off of funds to elder patients and the lower funding of medical research, fully accepting that more people would die. Newsbusters quotes him:

"We're going to have to, if you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die."

Reich just claims he is "being honest" and that he is. "Let them eat cake" is now joined by "Let you die."

I thought you were talking about a Commodore 64. That's old school.

My first computer when I was around 5 was a Commodore 64. I had BASIC down by the time I was 8, but that was the last programming language I really learned. After GUI OS's became common I never had a need to learn the nuts and bolts.

I loved that Commodore 64 though. I still have it in my closet back somewhere.

It would take something like an hour to write all the lines of code necessary to make a round ball bounce around the screen, and then I had no way of saving my work because the thing didn't have a HD and my floppy drive was read-only. Good times.

I loved the trick in Goldeneye with the remote mines where you could throw them at someone, switch to the detonator real quick, and blow them up in midair. Ha! We called it the "Hand of God". And it got banned from most of our sessions. :D

Yeah, so I'm talking about Herzog Zwei with this dude on soonerfans, and coincidentially having a parallel convo about Herzog in email with my older brother.. didn't give it a 2nd thought.

it's funny when you discover a random message-board dude is someone you know in "real life". :)

ain't that right, ya muhfugga ?

Heh. Starfox.

Another case of SNES > N64... F-Zero.

F-Zero kicked *** on the Super Nintendo. The N64 version? Not so much.
