Defense...
(opponents played rank in respective offensive category, Idaho State = UR)

Total
OU: 9th (13, UR, 35, 51, 64)
Texas 4th (32, 76, 2, 90, 104)

Texas faced the strongest offense, Texas Tech, but also faced 3 of the 4 worst. BYU, Tulsa, and Miami are all above average.

Rush
OU: 3rd (50, UR, 43, 70, 54)
Texas: 1st (15, 58, 114, 91, 112)

Texas, tops in the nation, though pathetic competition outside of La-Monroe (15th). OU faced a bunch of middle of the road rushing teams.

Pass Efficiency
OU: 29th (6, UR, 14, 16, 52)
Texas: 14th (50, 101, 11, 105, 110)

OU has faced some of the best passing teams in the nation, and have held a respectable ranking. Texas has a very good ranking, albeit against putrid competition, outside Tech (11th).

Scoring
OU: 3rd (8, UR, 26, 49, 41)
Texas: 16th (22, 92, 2, 81, 85)

This is probably OU's most impressive stat, a 3rd ranking despite facing four Top 50 scoring teams.

Ok, I refuse to accept La-Monroe as a legitimate rushing offense. Throw that stat out the window....now.

The whorns gave up 101 yards to La. M. and the 84th ranked rush defense of Arizona St. gave up 136. Not much difference. La. M.'s other games included Texas Southern, Fla. Atlantic, and Fla. Int. They are obviously only 3-2. So that is a bogus stat for their best rush offense that they faced.

I really hope all these positive thoughts come true.

I really hope all these positive thoughts come true.

At least this game's on at a decent hour out here. If you PM me, I'll send you the AFN breakdown for this weekend. I do it for my own sanity, but I send it out to my team and other guys I know that are in the CENTCOM AOR.

For all the other Sooners that are in the AOR, PM me your email address and I'll send you the AFN football breakdown. Believe me, it helps with time management. ;)
