eh, hate to say it but they will be just fine without a running game.

They have like 5 "running backs" AKA "safety valves/pass-protectors/slot receivers."

None of them really stand out as different than one or the other. It's like saying Tennell is out for OU right now... Miller, Caleb and Kenney are pretty much the same guy out there, none of them, starters included are an elite threat.

two words: blitz pickup.

One question: How often has a blitz not been picked up by even the slowest, whitest "running back" at UT the last three years?

I didn't know they had any running backs to begin with. We don't need to stop their running game to win. We need to stop the McCoy-Shipley Turnpike.

We have to coral Cart McCoy, get our hands up to knock down those little dink-and-dunks and play the middle of the field. We HAVE to count on our one-on-one matchups (Dom, Brian... this means you) so we can make up for the extra receivers Tejas puts in the game.

I guess they'll have to find someone else to rush for 49 yards per game.

doesnt say anywhere in that article that they are out, one is day to day and the other is uncertain
