I hope the our game plan for next week includes kicking it away from Shipley. The guy is trouble!

Absolutely. Gotta hand it to Shipley, dood's an awesome all-around threat ala Ryan Broyles, DeMarco Murray, etc.

Got to keep it away from him. I'm really worried about kick offs. We kicked it low and shallow today (maybe it was the wind). It seemed by the time our cover guys came into the screen today the returner was on the twenty. Hopefully it be better against mexas next week.

Like we rushed Max Hall, Jacory Harris and Nick Florence? It's got to be consistent, all-game heat and bring his azz DOWN when you get a hold on him.

Yeah... let's just keep our fingers crossed that this crap finally turns around in practice this week.

Reynolds just kinda stood still when that Baylor fullback scored today. For a guy who is starting supposedly because he recognizes things like that better than anyone else on the team... I can see Texas selling out on misdirection with him.

They need to let Way place kick in this game. He'll put it Way into the end zone. Pun definitely intended.

Maybe Shipley will get the flu this week.

He's impressive... catches everything, jukes, and has downfield speed.

He's run back a punt for a TD in every single TU game I've watched so far-->Last years RRS, Tech this year, and last nights game.

Shipley is their best player...

I was actually going to start a thread about this. He has saved their arses more the past two years than anybody that I can think across the country. Kindle, McCoy, or Muckelroy don't scare me, but Shipley absolutely does. Like I have said, kick the ball high and short, or on punts, kick it into row #5. This reminds me of what other teams used to say when we had Perk and JT Thatcher. I remember the quote in SI that said: "I know you special teams guys are innovative, but then next one of you who punts the ball to Antonio Perkins is fired!"

The odds are stacking up against McCry's life partner. He's gonna get stuck SOONER or later. I'd pay good money for it to happen this Saturday.:D

Im more worried about the other guy, DJ Monroe. He is much faster than Shipley. He has ran just as many kicks back as Shipley (2 kick returns for TD's) and he averages 50 yards plus per return.

Shipley is a bigger and more athletic Wes Welker...He may not have pure speed but he is "sneaky" fast and elusive and in on almost every offensive play. The other guy may be fast and eventually be a better player but I still contend Shipley is their best player and the go-to guy on offense and special teams.

Hell yeah! If we'd have worried about him last year, or better yet if Musclehead had worried about him, we might have won the game. :P

i'd be interested to see how many of McCoy's passes (completions or not) are for Shipley. i'd bet it's over 60% like someone posted earlier, Shipley is in on nearly every offensive play. And he is freaky dangerous over the middle.
