NORMAN, Oklahoma – OKBlitz.com Sports Director Dean Blevins has learned that the OU football team is suffering through an outbreak of the flu.

Sources confirm that 12 Sooners missed practice Wednesday with flu-like symptoms, and a third-party cleaning crew has been called to disinfect the locker rooms.

It is currently unknown exactly what flu strain has struck the players, but OKBlitz.com will present more information whenever it becomes available.

Depend on paysites? What in the world are you talking about?

I got this from Insider and looked over here and didn't see any threads had been created about it.

I posted the thread and 4-5 people have already posted in it that haven't heard about it yet.

Not that I even have to explain myself to you.

Mossman: Flu Reports False

Tulsa - Oklahoma officials are trying to calm fears that the football team has been stricken with flu-like symptoms.

we're saving our timeouts for when it's 4th and 1 to the goal line and the play clock is running down to 1 second.

I just didn't want you to think we havin't learned anything this year.

I still think we beat Baylor this week, even if it's true. This is probably the best week for the team to catch the flu.

Actually not yet. You have to read between the lines.

The original report this morning was "flu LIKE symptoms”

“But, NewsChannel 8 placed a call to Oklahoma Athletics Spokesperson Kenny Mossman.

He says the reports are false and that no football players have missed any practice this week due to the flu.”

Nobody said it was flu except Mossman.

If you know this staff the plague could have hit and it would be denied.

I'm not saying we're going to win, but any suggestion that beating us is a foregone conclusion is absurd.

We've almost beat you before when our team was a lot ****tier and yours was a lot better. We're a lot better this year and...well...you guys are having some issues.

Don't bank on anything as a foregone conclusion or you'll be broke pretty fast.

The Mossman quote reminds me of Muhammad Saeed al Sahaf (Iraqi Information Minister in 2003) telling the world that reports of US tanks in Baghdad was absurd. To me, this says that players missed practice for some bug that was 'not the flu'. Hurray!

Heh...It's the OU athletic department...

No one has missed practice due to flu. They just missed because they were puking and ****ting blood while running an extreme fever and coughing up phlegm.

The entire team could be dead from Captain Trips and the word from the program would be "No one has actually seen Randall Flagg or Mother Abigail".

SicEmBaylor:

OU shouldn't take any opponent for granted the way they're playing. Baylor will be disadvantaged with Griffin out, but it might be a better game than a lot of people are thinking. Sam might get some reps, but I'd be surprised if he starts.....we'll see.
