I don't know about you, but that sig at the end of longhorns' posts got me to thinking. The more I stare at it, the more humorous it gets. So what exactly is "hook'em" and where did it come from?

Well, back in 1955 Harley Clark, the "HEAD CHEERLEADER" invented it. NOW I GET IT! He, being the kind of guy that would be a cheerleader and all (nttawwt!) was actually trying to copy the OU symbol of #1 and dang if that little pinky finger of his flew up all feminine like and WHAM, there you go, the Hook'em symbol was created!

Now everytime you see a t-sip guy throw up that flaming symbol of strength, just focus in on that little pinky finger, smile and say "you go girl!"

LMAO!! Now I know the root of the joke my college tennis coach told me. I don't remember exactly how the joke goes but once you got caught doing something gay, they would cut off you middle finger. Get caught again, cut off the next finger. Get caught a third time, cut off your thumb and you see them every Satruday cheering (usually in Austin).
