Anatomy of a Soonerfans.com Thread...Post-loss

Chill, it's not a "whine" thread, just meant to be fun-nay. Maybe we can just resurrect this thread after a loss and save Dean and others the trouble of merging threads and starting whining threads about whiners. Following is a low-level summary of SF.com after a loss.



Venables sucks. Soft zone, DBs 10-yards off LOS on 3rd and 5...Missed tackles, constant missed assignments, defenders out of place, too many big plays. Same stuff we've seen for years. He's gotta go.




I hate you people. You're not real Sooners, you're a bunch of whiners. You would call for a coaches head even if we won 77-0. What do you know? You're not the coach. Besides, it's KW's fault for not keeping the O on the field. The defense got tired.




If the opponent's defense can get off the field in 3 plays, why can't we? Yeah, KW definitely has issues, but it's BV's fault. Don't need to be a coach to know that. We're Sooners, not Aggies, we want to win every game.




Defense is only allowing X points per game. They only gave up X points on the road, that should be enough to win. We were too conservative. Besides, it's the players, not the coaches, that:

(Place X In Each Applicable Box for the Latest Loss)
[ ] Can't block
[ ] Can't tackle
[ ] Drop passes
[ ] Blow assignments
[ ] Commit penalties
[ ] Got injured
[ ] Drank too much the night before




Defense gives up too many big plays when game is on the line. When the game is close, they fold, can't get a stop. It's been happening for years with different players, can't just be the players. And it's the coaches that recruit the players anyway. So it's still the coaches' fault, regardless of what the players do. The coaches put them in that position.
