Maybe lid can explain what happen, or Mack Brown will say, "I got into a fight in a pick up game before".

Arrest warrant issued for Vaccaro
By Suzanne Halliburton | Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 03:33 PM

An arrest warrant has been issued for Longhorn freshman defensive back Kenny Vaccaro for misdemeanor assault, following an alleged fight he had with a UT student during a pick-up basketball game.

Vaccaro missed practice Tuesday to deal with the warrant.

Texas coach Mack Brown issued a statement after practice saying Vaccaro’s situation would be handled within the team.

“We’ve talked to Kenny and his family, and pending the completion of the legal process, will do what’s best for the University, Kenny and the team.”

According to an arrest affidavit provided to the American-Statesman, Vaccaro and Jonathon Fuhrman were involved in a fight, Sept. 20, when both were playing basketball at Gregory Gym.

Fuhrman, who is identified as a UT student, told police Vaccaro and his friends were throwing basketballs at him. The affidavit said Fuhrman threw a basketball back at Vaccaro, hitting him in the head.

Fuhrman said Vaccaro then punched him in the face. The affidavit stated that Fuhrman, when he was interviewed by police, had blood coming from a cut lip.

Vaccaro told police that Fuhrman “was always on the court trying to start a fight.” Vaccaro said he threw a punch after the ball Fuhrman threw hit him in the ear.

Fuhrman told police there were witnesses, but said that none would come forward “because they are scared of football players.”

Vaccaro has made nine tackles for the Longhorns as a special teams player and in the secondary.

The charge is a Class A misdemeanor.

The funniest thing is to see all the fans here throw the other UT student under the bus.

He plays for Tejas. Give him the chair.

Not THAT chair, *ssholes. I haven't wished a Tejas player dead since, well, since...

..and, ironically enough, in the above pic, he looks ready for the chair to which I was originally referring:

...'cause if you're smart enough to get into Tejas (ahem) and smart enough to play ball at a rec center when you're a scholarship athlete, then you're smart enough to get a few basketballs hucked at your head. Deal with it like a regular student, or become one... Wise choice, you dumb f*cking Whorn.

Perhaps they are emulating soonerfans... "well... she was only an 18 year old girl... and girls have drama... and it was simply her word.. and she was asking for it... and he's never been in trouble before.... and who cares if it's six misdemeanors... and it weren't true!!"

i don't think 47straight was being "literal", lid. but hey, at UT, you never know.

No, if they were emulating soonerfans, there would be plenty of calls for the player's head by the hometown fanbase. Not so in Austin --- only blame for the other student.

Were you out of the country when your Las Vegas recruit was going through his issues and how there were maybe.... 2 people on here calling for his head? and the rest were turning on the victim and her family?

Lid, those of us 'on here' that weren't calling for the immediate pulling of Chaisson's scholly were calling for everybody to just remain calm until the verdict was in (as in 'innocent until proven guilty').

I draw your attention to exhibit A:

When Smack says that this will be handled within the team, he means that nothing significant will happen.

With Chaisson, the criminal justice system was used to figure what would happen. With Crash Kindle, that system didn't play out.

At OU, players miss games due to injury or injustice. At *, players miss because they are in front of a jury or a justice.
