End of first half

I know I'm a noob and all that, but does it seem to anyone else that we did not try to score at the end of the first half? The holding penalty made it second and ten, then we ran up the middle, did not call a timeout just let the clock run down and it just seemed like we were in no hurry and we could have got some points right there. it seems like against good teams on the road, stoops and wilson play too conservative and just play to not win the game and that's part of the reason we don't win close games on the road against good teams.
