I now know why it is called the Zoo Amp. There were so many cougars there, it was unreal.

Pretty crappy show though.

Journey is one of those bands that is so dependent on the lead singer that they can't really call themselves "Journey" without him.

I wasn't born until 85 so I didn't live through the Journey years but I thought the guy did a good job on vocals. It was just weird seeing a relatively young guy running around and jumping while the rest of the band members were just standing there. The guys story is pretty neat though and he did sound good:
In December 2007, Journey hired Filipino singer Arnel Pineda of the cover band The Zoo after Neal Schon saw him on YouTube singing covers of Journey songs.

Dave is good live and im not even a big fan. The BOK center is nice but the stairs are extremely narrow and steep

Back in the day Journey is the music you put on when you wanted to get laid.
Other than that, I really didn't have much use for it. I was more into Dio, Ozzy, AC/DC and stuff like that.

while sitting at the concert I was trying to think of bands that I would be rocking out to for reunion tours when I was 50 and drew a blank. Are their any good bands out there anymore?

I think that depends on how old you are now... we need a frame of reference in order to answer your semi-rhetorical question.

Oh... and when did you get green? For some reason I thought you were in the neg-spek well of death.

based solely on your posting style I would assume when you are 50 you will be rocking out to the Pink, JC Chasez, and/or the Veronicas

What happened?

106 degrees out...wife was pregnant with angel #3...general admission was LITERALLY a mile long...and the ****ers working the concert were confiscating bottled water from the folks waiting in line...people were literally passing out.
We sold the tickets for face value and saw em three days later in Dallas...with assigned seats...and said we're never going to the Zoo Amp again.

So we're going to see them in Vegas on Saturday instead.

I thought the new guy did great on vocals....if you didn't see him, you'd swear it was Steve Perry. But Nightranger?...puhleez..those guys sucked in the eighties..and they didn't get better with time.

All I know is that they had better play "Escape" tonight...and the perennial AWACS favorite "Wheel In the Sky."
