Freddy doesn't sound right. I think that Robert Englund was such a huge part of that character that it will be very tough for those of us who remember the original to accept another actor.

Funny how all you guys who believe in ghosts also dig horror flicks.

I hate em'. Flicks like The Exorcist or The Omen or that one with Jack Nicholson and the axe were good (even though they scared the **** outta me when I saw them back in the day), but all the slasher flicks I just don't get. Why in the hell do you sit there watching a movie where the stupid chick ALWAYS goes down the dark stairs to meet her gory end? Why do you sit there on pins and needles waiting for the next goofball in a hockey mask to jump out and impale the unsuspecting dude picking up his date? I don't get the fascination. At all.

The place that was the original inspiration for the story is a frat house in Potsdam, NY (I live in the Potsdam zip code) and yes, it is on Elm Street, one of Potsdam's main avenues. To my knowledge, it is not considered haunted, just creepy looking.

It's from Michael Bay, so it must be awesome!

Only if it's 4 hours long and causes seizures.
