Is it me or does this program get MUCH more respect than it deserves every year? Why do they get ranked so high all the time? They always fail to live up to it and they're doing it again. I don't get the love for Cal and this program. Underachievers!

just like politics, you see what you wanna see. pac 10 fans don't stop about how LITTLE respect they get. they think all the media outlets are against them.

we all share the same major networks, espn, and we all have access to the internet, yet two people see the same thing with two completely different opinions.

Everyone is desperate for the Pac 10 to have a second *ok* program, and since Oregon's off punching mid-majors but not beating them, Cal is the second option.

It's not that the media have a Big 10/Big 12/SEC/East Coast bias... it's that the media have a doesn't-suck bias... but to make it seem like they don't hate the west coast, they'll choose another Pac 10 program just to make the whiners not exceed Macc Braun levels of whining.

There aren't a small group of dominant teams in '09....whoever is left standing at the end (despite losses) will end up playing in the Championship Game.

their schedule is hideous and doesn't warrant a BCS CG appearance -- they're a non-BCS conference team....if they want to win it all they need to schedule some elite non-conference opponents and prove it. Oregon doesn't cut it....

Nope, BYU is in the Mountain West, Boise is in the WAC and don't play each other out of conference this season. Now they were in the WAC together before the old WAC teams broke out and formed the MWC. Boise's best option would be to move to the MWC, they are at nine team now and on they are on the verge of legitimacy.
