Spontaneous possession is not a rule when you play at Ann Arbor I suppose. That's flat ridiculous. Indiana should protest this game. They absolutely ignored the rulebook.

Keith Nichol took them to two touchdowns when they finally let him play. Wisconsin probably decided to leave early on D much like their student section, but it was still Nichol under center.

START HIM, Michigan State.

And even if they don't, a very good effort by the former Sooner. We still love you, Keith! :)

I heard someone call Michigan vs. Indiana a "battle of unbeatens." I know this statement is true but it creates a misleading impression of the quality of those two programs.

Am I the only one who hears a person complaining about the refs not understanding the "spontaneous possession" rule, and thinks:

1) it's a bit ironic, and
2) what the hell would 'spontaneous possession" be?

(A.R. 7-3-6-II and III).

Approved Ruling 7-3-6
I. Team A’s legal forward pass is first touched by one of its eligible players, then caught by another. RULING: Completed pass.

II. Two opposing players receive a legal forward pass while both are off the ground, and both players return to the ground inbounds at the same time. RULING: Simultaneous catch; the ball is awarded to the passing team (Rule 2-2-8).
