Your probably right but then who could really blame him? Sam came back and our line couldn't even protect him for the first half of the first game. Whatever Sam choses I wish him only the best always.

Nothing but the best for Sam...for sure, he has been a saint to OU's program...

What is this based on?

These internet geeks are somehow experts and know just exactly what's going on with Sam Bradford and his family.

Me? I'll wait and see what happens.

Argh ! Really hope this doesn't mean surgery and I mean for Sam's sake, not OU.

I think he's demonstrated pretty strongly that he's NOT all about the dollars. Let's cut the guy some slack before we try to crawl inside his head and guess his motives -- it says more about us than him.

Rus you are way off, Andrews is the best orthopedic surgeon in the country, Sam is likely going to see him for two reasons, to cover himself for the insurance policy and to make sure there is no risk of re injury.

I would take this as a good sign meaning he is just crossing his T's before coming back

At least he's not going to see Dr. Kevorkian!

Actually I consider it good news. Dr Andrews understands athletes better and knows better what their bodies are capable of handling.

The visit to Dr. Andrews is the best thing for Sam, regardless of what the outcome is. He is the best specialist, and Sam will do well to listen to him and follow his instructions.

I totally agree with this line of thinking. The 2 reasons are exactly what I was thinking when I first saw the report 30 minutes ago. If he is going to see a specialist, why not see the very best in the field.

I wouldn't blame Sam one bit if he shut it down and called it a college career.

He's done a lot for the program, both on and off the field. I would have zero problem if he decided to be a little selfish right now.

Per ESPN's Joe Schad, Sam is meeting with Dr. Andrews to get cleared to play next week against Miami. This is a good thing, fellas.

Source: Bradford to meet with Andrews

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford was scheduled to visit renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews in Alabama this weekend but has not had a specific setback in his recovery from a sprained throwing shoulder, a person familiar with the situation said Saturday morning.

Instead, Bradford was traveling to seek clearance in an attempt to play as early as next Saturday against Miami, the source said.

The examination is part of standard procedure for an insurance policy Bradford took before the season, protecting him financially against a career-ending injury.

Another person familiar with the situation said Bradford experienced some soreness after resuming throwing this week, but that it was considered normal.

The original recovery prognosis on the Grade 2 or Grade 3 sprain suffered in the Sooners' Sept. 5 loss to BYU was two to four weeks, putting a return for the Miami game within range.

If my shoulder was worth $30M I'd be making the rounds of the top 5 shoulder docs in the country. Smart move on his part. Means nothing more than Sam's covering all the bases.

I think he's the best SPORTS orthopedic surgeon. That's a completely different ballgame than saying the best orthopedic surgeon.

Even saying that, without Bo Jackson I'm not sure if Andrews' stock would have risen so fast.

Bradford has already cemented his legacy at OU. Why would he worry about Landy Jones? Jones is a good QB, but if Sam is ready ,this is Sam's team. Everyone knows this.

I don't know for certain, but I would expect that the insurance company that is insuring Sam against a career ending injury would require a full clearance before he plays again or it would void his insurance. Just sounds like something any insurance company would do.
