I just watched the pilot and it is pretty damn funny. I don't know if it is strong as family guy but it got me laughing pretty hardily.

Cleveland and the step son are the funniest.

4 & 3/4 stars!

I'm surprised. I figured this to be a turrible, turrible show.

Entertainment Weekly did a feature on this show about a year ago, right before it was supposed to debut (I think it was pushed back from a midseason start).

Anyway, EW and Family Guy jokes aside, the point of the feature was that the Cleveland Brown Show was the only show being introduced at that time featuring a family of minorities and that prominent minority shows were disappearing from mainstream the networks.

The funny part is that I think Cleveland and his family are all voiced by white actors and actresses :D

It was pretty good tonight...pilot episode I saw.
About 1/2 as funny as Family Guy so far, with lots of potential.
I could see it going either way.
Ima keep watching it because I have high hopes and LOVE FG.

Apparently Cleveland was a cross between Michael Jackson and John Cusack a'la Say Anything when he was in HS in the 1980's. Class of '84.

Whose voice is that supposed to be that makes the snarky comments? A character? A fellow viewer?
