The scene in Flynn's arcade is a great capture of what an arcade was like in the early '80s.

Hollywood seems to be on a remake binge for the last few years.

Tell me about it. It's ****ing frustrating.

"Big Business." That's all it is. A bunch of guys with good salaries and cushy expense accounts who are terrified of taking a risk and MAAAYBE losing their jobs. So they go for "sure things" which actually means "anything that's ever been shot/written/drawn/produced before so they can blame it on someone else if it fails."

They are actually about to start making a bunch of BOARD GAMES into movies. Like LIFE and Candyland and Monopoly.

NO KIDDING.

Say what you want about the Monopoly movie, but I am excited about the Candyland movie. Hopefully if it is a hit, it will lead to a Chutes and Ladders movie, and maybe even a Hi-Ho Cherrio one.

Monopoly might be cool...maybe. But Candyland? OUT.

They did a pretty good job making Clue into a movie so who knows.

I'll take your word for it. But whoever put the trailer together sucks at life. The trailer was boring as hell.

Well, in all fairness, there are quite a few points along the road where a movie can go from being teh awesome to total crap.

Final editing is one of those BIG potholes that can swallow a movie whole.

Is the new movie a sequel or a re-imagining?

It will be a challenge for the writers. Half of the impact of the original was the special effects that were way ahead of its time. State of the art is run o the mill nowadays
