I'm surprised that anyone would open their mouth if Bob gave the edict to shut up.

"I'm a little disappointed our players had so much to say," Stoops said. "Not that we're at all trying to be coy or anything that's behind the scenes.

"I'm sure as he goes forward, they'll give him more and more to do as the days come, and we'll just see how he handles it. It's just too early to speculate. I'm not gonna get into the speculation. Once he's comfortable and ready to play, I'll have something to say. Until then, I'm just not gonna deal with it every day and don't want our players giving percentages or he did this much or didn't do that much. Then everyone gets to determine, 'Well, that's enough to play,' or, 'That isn't enough to play.' I just don't want to do it. So I'm gonna choose not to."

I wondered how that comment by Caleb would sit with Stoops at the time I first read it.

"A little disappointed"=a very nearly blown gasket and some people are still doing laps. I love Bob.

Yeah, "alittle disappointed" means someone is now living with less of a buttocks to sit on, LOL.

You mean Broyles?

It was Broyles that made the comments.

He did kill him but he's rehabbing fine and is day to day. He should play against Miami due to the bye week

He was pissed at Broyles, but didn't want to hurt our only pass catching receiver so he ripped off Caleb's head.

It's OK, Caleb's a chicken. You rip off Caleb's head and he still runs around afterward... catching multiple touchdown passes in the process :D

Maybe he should try this with Tennell?

Good idea!

No, Tennell is the alien in Men in Black. You can cut off his non-catching hands and he will grow back a new set of hands, guaranteed to catch better than the old ones.

"Do you have any idea how much that stings?"

I don't get why our coaches are so anal about this kind of stuff.

I fight longhorns for this team, dammit!

Realistically, it is in the best interest of the team to keep as much info as possible hidden from the other team.

How can you win three titles and be a one-hit wonder?

That Bill Belichick IS a genius!

I feel pretty good with jones playing. I think he has an extremely bright future. If he plays against miami, he will be a little nervous, but if he hits his first couple of passes. He will do good

Bellicheatah is eatin' that humble pie right now. Only a matter of time before Randy Moss goes all T.O. up there. :P

I'm with Bob on this subject. The more focus that comes onto the progress that Sam makes in practice, the more of a distraction the media can become over the next week and a half. I'd rather they focus on what they need to do to beat a good Miami team convincingly.

I didn't watch the game but if I had to guess, Randy probably took a few too many plays off or just doesn't care because he had a good season and now has a big contract.

EDIT: Signed 3-year, $27 mil in 2008, four catches for 24 yards against the Jets. Hmmm...

Well, to be fair... I saw Brady on his back a lot during that game. I don't know if it's the knee, fear of reinjury or just the time off, but TB looked doesn't look like himself yet.

he was also doubled most of the time the Pats were on the field, and when he wasn't doubled, he was made a relative non factor by a good defensive team. The lack of Welker had a lot to do with his lack of productivity as well.
