I don't have a second favorite. I just have teams I cheer for on particular weeks for an assortment of reasons. That and I cheer against ranked teams unless OU is playing them later.

I really cheer for any team any given week that would potentially help us immediately or in the long run. I'm selfish like that.

SoonerStud615
9/23/2009, 12:38 AM
I'm not rooting for them to win the MNC or anything, because that's not even close to being realistic, but I'd love to see them replace Texas as the best Big 12 team not named Oklahoma.

Washington. Although to be fair, it's a stadium looking for a team fit to fill it.

Tulsa. I like the program they've built with the smallest enrollment of any BCS conf school. Of course, not cheering for them last weekend...

Syracuse. Just because i started a dynasty with them in ncaa 2010 and it took me 4 seasons to finally win the NC. I played fair and told myself not to reset when i got beat lol. Man that team is absolutely horrid. But its cool, i have been finding myself rooting for them and watching them on saturdays. I know all the players now because of the roster file =]

I've always kinda liked Michigan. The fact that they have a winning record vs. Notre Dame doesn't hurt. Never been a Buckeye fan either (what the **** kind of a mascot is that Brutus thing anyway?).

I'm a fan of CFB in general. When I watch a non-OU game, I'll pick a protagonist for various reasons. If I like the way the coaches are calling a game or if a particular player is doing something extraordinary. Or maybe a team gets screwed by a bad call, I'll pull for them. If I have to pick a team, I live across the street from the Stanford stadium and I did go there for grad school, so I'd love to see them stamp another 'L' on USC :)

I would say that I pull for other teams (Florida, Florida, and any team that Toolbow plays on) to get upset rather than pull for another particular school...

Tulsa is OU's cooler little brother, so I like to cheer for them. I've liked Washington since Tuiasosopo led them to a Rose Bowl victory in 2000. I also like the flexbone so I watch Navy and Georgia Tech when I get the chance. Other than that I cheer for teams playing other teams ranked ahead of us.

The only problem with pulling for the upset against ranked teams is that you disappointed more often than not (or else it really isn't an upset). But I guess it is more satisfying when it happens. I liked last week's Tech/UT game because it really could help OU in the long run that the horns won, but Tech proved that UT is not playing as well as last year and can be had.

Thanks Bob, this one's a speculation, I just gotta limit my pork intake to 400 grams a day.
