NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma Sooners coach Bob Stoops is contributing money to his non-football area of expertise.

Stoops and his wife, Carol, are providing a $150,000 gift to the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma.

Stoops graduated from the University of Iowa in 1983 with a marketing degree.

The money will assist untenured assistant professors in the college with their research in accounting, finance, management, management information systems and marketing and supply chain management.

Awards in the Bob Stoops Business Faculty Fellow Program will be made to junior faculty who have demonstrated research promise and provided clear evidence of high-level research productivity potential.
