I've never seen this many people on here before..some of you fans only show up when something negative happens.. Before the season started I never seen a lot of you.. We have a sad fan base when you only show your opinions when your team is down

I'm hoping that he has washed the sand out and it's ok for some of us pathetic bandwagon fans :rolleyes: to come on here now.

Very excited about Landry's progress- even if it was against Idaho State and Tulsa. This is not just good for us this year, but it will be great for us when Sam leaves and the keys to castle are handed to Landry. He is going to be a great talent.

Also very excited that Sam is throwing again. Rehab must be going well and he must be healing nicely. As good as Landry has been playing, I want Sam when we face Miami. I think we can win either way, but if Sam doesn't have any rust, then I want Sam back their taking the snaps.

I love the way the BCS is looking for us. It looks like we again control our own destiny after an early season loss. I do believe if we win out, the table is set for us to get back to the title gam. We will continue to rise in the rankings(coaches, AP, and BCS) by beating Miami, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas and being Big 12 champs. I really think if we win out, we are there.

Here is hoping to the line continuing to gel. If they can protect against the Big boys of the Big 12, we can do this thing.

Since nearly everyone has to become a fan of a team at some point after the team's inception, at what time can you become a fan and NOT be a bandwagon fan? Unless you were born in 1894 and started cheering for the Rough Riders at the age of 1, I'd contend that EVERY Sooner fan is a bandwagon fan.

I suppose those of us who were born Sooners are MAYBE not bandwagon fans, but how many people would truly love the Sooners if it weren't for the rich history of success? I am sure that I probably would still love the Sooners...but I also know that it wouldn't be as enjoyable.

Which raises another point - do you know why there are no bandwagon Cowboys fans (that's the claim by their fanbase)? Because they suck, and their bandwagon always breaks down, with the promise that it will be fixed "next year".

I, for one, welcome anyone to the Sooner fanbase. Just represent well and don't be a jack***.

Well, I don't see a problem.. I am a Sooner fan and have been since I was old enough to listen To Bob Barry and Jack Ogle about 1963 I guess.. My dad was a big Sooner fan so I had no choice really.. Now, I get PO'd when we lose and I question this and that about the team or coaches sometimes but I remain a born and bred Sooner fan.. I have been flamed for questioning a coaches call or why Stoops tried to kick a field goal in a certain situation but I have my opinions and I express them afterall that's part of being a fan and why we have a fan board to discuss these things on.. I love my Sooners and I am very passionate about OU football.. I don't give a rats behind about tennis, Baseball or round ball, Golf etc.. Just football.. It's nice to hear OU has won in those other sports but I am just an OU football fan..

A "bandwagon" fan is one who jumps on the bandwagon when people are lining the streets cheering the bandwagon that brings the circus to town but then jump off when they hit a town where very few people turn out for the parade.

I have been an OU football fan through most of the 47 game win streak, the Gomer Jones years, the Switzer years, the Gibbs Blake and Smellyburger years and the Stoops years. This is one wagon I have not fallen off of regardless of the turnout for the parade.

I think you have to have about 100 posts before you can start a thread so that you can learn how to use the search features. That is another bug in the milkshake. :P

I am a Springdale transplant. Make no mistake:

I grew up in Oklahoma, my dad went to OU, I have always been an OU fan even though I attended a different Big 12 school for college, all my family still lives in Oklahoma and I visit often, and I will always be an OU fan. I live in Springdale because, well, this is where I found a job. A Sooners gotta eat! I moved here after the Mustain high school years. I moved here when he was a freshman at U of A. My wife went to high school with him though.
