Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said quarterback Sam Bradford's injured right shoulder is improving, but would not give any further updates Monday morning on the Big 12 coaches teleconference.

"He continues to do well, but we're not getting into speculations about when (Bradford will play again)," Stoops said.

I say start one guy and stick with your decision. But don't let anyone know who it is until we take the first offensive snap.

I suggest we don't name te starter until the 2nd half.

Even at 80-90%, Sam would be the best player on the field in any jersey in any game we play this year.

It would be fantastic if Landry would stop the media love fest with Ja-queer-i (or whatever his name is) all by himself and without having to test Sam's shoulder. Then Sam could give Colt a lesson and really shut the talking heads up! ;)

If Sam is healthy he starts, no question about it.

We should know Monday if he's slingin' laser-beams in practice.

I doubt he plays. But who am I, really?

Joel Klatt suffered the exact same injury and grade of injury and he played in a game 3 weeks later. He said he only practiced that wed-fri before the game though. He also said it was VERY painful. So Sam should AT LEAST get in an entire week of practice before the Miami game.

If he doesn't, they're hiding info. about the injury.

That's what I'm afraid off.

And do you want a QB in pain going against Miami or Texas…Even if he is a Heisman Trophy winner? Not saying either way. Just asking?

Well, he DID win the Heisman and was a complete badass last year. So it's not too far off, as much as you'd love to think so.

There's a red fern growing there. Goodbye Old Sam (sniff).

Agreed. I'd be worried about having Sam come back unless he was completely healthy for a week of practice beforehand. He might need the week to get back in the groove and gel with the offense again--they aren't exactly the same as when he left.

And if the U plays like it used to, won't they be looking to repeat Clawson's hit?

I'm sure they do and will.

Shannon seems to have cleaned-up the U from the games I've watched, so I don't expect particularly thuggish behavior. But any team is going to try harder to get to Sam when he comes back until he proves he is healthy and the riskier style costs them some big plays.

i fed-exed a bottle of tebow sweat to sam. all he has to do is rub it on his shoulder, wait 30 seconds, and he will be able to throw that ball over the mountains.

I guess he shouldn't swallow the Tebow urine I fed-exed to him then...:O he would levitate if he did

I think we should start Landry. I don't see any way that Sam is 100% (or even close to it for that matter) for Miami. If he feels comfortable after Miami, then we can get him another full week of practice, and break him back in against Baylor to get ready for Texas. There's no point in risking it, especially with the way our defense is playing.
