This season is beginning to feel a lot like 2007. No program is really standing head and shoulders above the rest. Everyone looks vulnerable.

We could be on the verge of absolute chaos just like 2 years ago...no undefeated teams...no clear-cut top 2 teams at the end of the year. It might be a process of elimination and luck just like in '07. We could still accomplish everything we wanted to. If a team is in the Top 10 by October 1st like we are now, it still has a shot.

So...OU needs to approach the game @ Miami like we're on a mission. We now have 12 days to prepare for Miami and develop a gameplan that exploits their weaknesses (and they have several) and minimizes our own. Yeah, it's supposed to be that way for every opponent, but this one is different. We're on the road with a young quarterback and the opponent has shown some signs of life. We need to be innovative and smart on offensive....attacking and disciplined on defense.

A win over a resurgent Miami will catapult us back into the hunt and we're very capable of doing it. It would also be nice to sweep the Canes under Stoops and further help sooth some old scars. I really hope to see OU --the players, the coaches, everyone -- show up to Miami with a chip on their shoulders. We need to play and coach like we have something to prove -- because we do.

It's time for the OU program to show some urgency and it's time for Stoops to go get a huge road win.

The SOONERS need to walk on the Land Shark field just like the 'Canes did back in '85 when they visited Norman. It needs to be a take no prisoners attitude that gets delivered early and often. We ARE OKLAHOMA, darn it!
