Yeah, the announcers for our game said they were wearing 1950s-era throwbacks.

the helmets were a little Nike-fied compared to the old, real ones.

Silver and Gold are the official CU colors--reflecting the mining history of the state. Black and Gold was an adoption for the football program.

I remember when Colorado football colors were gold and blue initiated by Fairbanks.
