I know that VY was a Heisman finalist and he won a title with the whorns, but I almost feel bad for him when he looks so unprepared for life after college and the harsh reality of professional sports.

Maybe I am just jaded but it comes across to me as a stunt dreamed up by VY's agent.Nothing I have seen or heard from VY leads me to believe this isn't an image improvement thing.In any case I do hope for the kids' sake this is genuine and not a MJ-Lisa Presley marraige type stunt.

I don't care if he was only motivated to do this as a publicity stunt. It was a nice thing to do to visit with Steve'e kids and sign autographs for some students.

For example, let's say that Carrie Underwood only gave a bunch of band instruments to her hometown Chocotah's school because she wanted to be praised in the media and adored more by people. So what! The kids still got musical instruments that they didn't have before!

Because we don't know Carrie' real motivation and I'm just using a hypothetical, let's use a real-life example... a group in Texas tried to promote the adoption of black animals (http://www.zootoo.com/petnews/blackisbeautifulpetadoptionpro-732). The promotion was shut down because it was seen seen as racially motivated. Who cares what their motivation were if it meant getting some homeless dogs and cats adopted?!

McNair has had VY under his wing since VY was in HS so I really don't believe it had anything to do with publicity on VYs part
