If you take away all of the specifics, one view or the other, this video does show the importance of knowing what you're talking about before shouting it from the rooftop. (or from the hand held sign as the case may be)

Sure it does.

But I also believe in marginalizing the extreme sides of both parties and giving the reasonable people on both sides the attention they deserve.

I believe some Internet messageboard mods have a saying called don't feed the trolls?

We could all stand to take that advice in politics as well.

I'll step down off my soapbox now. ;)

I like the teabaggers for their spirit and willingness to express their views. I would be much more impressed if their ideas were more or less coalescing around more cogent points.

I mean, if the government didn't bail out the financial sector, what would have happened?

If the government didn't bail out the auto sector, what would have happened?

To say the government debt is spiralling out of control because of a conspiracy of the Obama government to take over private industry is, frankly, very silly.
