OK, Sunshine Pumpers... one of you please enlighten me as to what you have seen out of this squad that you believe we are capable of scoring over 30 points against even a moderately competent D-IA defense. (Tulsa, btw, qualifies for this... maybe even over-qualifies.)

I am not saying we can't, won't, or couldn't win the game, I just don't know that this team is ready to win the game yet (hence my "hedge" prediction.)

If we are going to win this game we better be able to hold Tulsa under 20. And I am not sure we are capable of that either. BYU exposed our soft spots underneath (Reynolds) and deep center (Proctor) and you have to know Tulsa will be ready to attack those from the get-go.

I know TU was eating a bit of (cup)cake the last two weeks. But it was D-1A cake, and they didn't look like they were breaking a sweat to me. You have to believe they left some bullets in the holster for us; and, they fully intend to use them against us.

We better be ready to pound the rock with Brodie on the edge and Clapp leading the charge through the hole (or zone, as we are coaching these days), limit Tulsa's touches, and (again) play mistake-free.

Do you believe that Stoops and staff have, or will have, this all buttoned down by gametime Saturday?

34-17 OU, late TD making it look like a decent game. Mostly the story is OUr defense giving the offense enough time to score 5-6 times. TOP slanted to something like 35-25, golden Miamis turning the ball over 4 times. Everyone still bitches about the offense because two of the 4 TD's come off of very short fields set up by the defense.

Well we haven't scored under 30 since we scored 24 in 2006. I think our offense is "a little" better than the 2006 offense. That's why I gave us over 30.

41-20, but that may be optimism. I'm more than a little skittish on how the o-line will handle the 30-stack defense (I'm assuming they still run it). It's massively blitz-heavy and not all that different from the 3-4 in terms of pressure. The line had better put in a solid showing or this game will be way too close. The Tulsa offense isn't anything to sneeze at (then again, neither is OU's d).

Not really...but I can't see our offense scoring 38 on them either.

I think there offense is better than most think...and until we can show we can stop people from throwing underneath, I think our defense will have more difficulty against passing teams like Tulsa.
